unitary executive is a theory that proposes that the whole executive branch should be controlled by the president.
unitary executive is generally accepted but some discuss that the amount of power the president has over the executive branch should be somewhat limited.
in regards of practicality, i believe that is useful to have only one person dealing with the branch as long as his or her power is limited by the other two branches.
china remains “mostly unfree.” nontransparent state-owned enterprises dominate the financial sector and many basic industries. the official ideology of “socialism with chinese characteristics” has chilled liberalization, heightened reliance on mercantilism, raised bureaucratic hurdles to trade and investment, weakened the rule of law, and strengthened resistance from vested interests that impede more dynamic economic development.
- hobbes believe that all people are chaotic in nature. because of this, the role of government should be able to rule over the people with absolute authority. (which is why he favor absolute monarchy)
- locke believe that people all kind and creative. because of this, the role of government is solely to protect the life and liberty of the citizens. (this is why locke favor democracy)
i mostly agree with locke's view on government. in absolute monarchy, the power to determine the type of law that shall be passed only fall to the hands of the nobles. this give the common people with very little power to influence the government.
